 9/11 was a very tragic and unfortunate day for the United States. On September 11th, 2001 two jetliners were hijacked and shot into the twin towers early that morning. A third jet was hijacked and plunged into the pentagon.

  What happened 

Four planes were hijacked by some members of the alleged group known as Al-Qaeda. Two planes were launched into the World Trade Center, also referred to as the Twin Towers. At 8:46 a.m one of the two planes ( Flight 11 ) crashes into the North Tower, killing all of the passengers on board and several hundreds of people inside the tower. While visiting a elementary school in Sarasota, Florida, the president, George W. Bush is notified by White House officials that Flight 11 has crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. At 9:03 a.m the second plane ( Flight 175 ) plunged into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Also killing everyone on the flight and hundreds on the tower.

  Then at 9:37 a.m the third hijacked plane ( Flight 77 ) crashes into the western side of the Pentagon. This killed 59 passengers aboard the plane as well as 125 military and civilian personnel inside of the building. Another 106 people were injured by the fire the plane caused. 

  At 9:42 a.m the Federal Aviation Athority (FAA) calls a nationwide group stop. Any flights in or coming in or out of the United States were forced to land, every plane was grounded within approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

  At 9:45 a.m the White house and U.S capitol are evacuated. Other high-profile buildings and offices, landmarks, and rumored attacks are later evacuated as well. The fourth plane (Flight 93) contained 40 passengers and plane officials, 13 of which contacted family, friends, and the police alerting them that the plane was being hijacked, 6 of them learned of the attacks to the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. At 9:57 a.m, we believe that the planes members took a vote to try and take out the hijackers.

 At 9:59 a.m the South Tower collapses within 10,seocnds! The collapse kills about 600 World Trade Center workers and working aid, in and around  the building.

  Around 20 minutes to Washington DC flying time, Flight 93 crashed into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. This unfortunately kills everyone on board.

  10:15 a.m, the E Ring of the Pentagon collapses Luckily no one gets injured. After burning for nearly an 1 hour and 42 minutes the North Tower collapses. Unfortunately leaving around 1,400 in and around the building dead.

  Public Response:

After such and unfortunate event many Americans donated money and blood to many charities. The New York Blood Center collected nearly 36,000 units of donated blood. In only 2 days the Red Cross collected approximately  $3 million dollars! Many of the surrounding cities sent their own firefighters and EMT'S to help clean debris and help severely injured and dying people.

  Many Americans were so angered by this tragic day that they began targeting those of Arab and Muslim decent. In 10 days time nearly 600 attacks occurred. Including the murder of a Pakistani grocer and a Sikh gas station owner. The FBI told the citizens if the U.S that these attacks would not be tolerated. But yet even with this warning the attacks continue for months. 

  News Coverage:

Many different news papers covered the same information, nothing new really stuck out compared to the rest. Generally the same things what happened, how it happened,  and why it happened. They also talk about how angered President George W. Bush was and how he will not tolerate such attacks on his people and country, that this means war.

 

Pitch Perfect 2

After Pitch Perfect, they (now in Pitch Perfect 2) start off with a great performance until a unfortunate malfunction, Rebel Wilson's Fat Amy moons the President on his birthday. This unfortunately get the Bella's kicked put of the choral academy and leaves them with one shot at the International finals in Copenhagen.
Now that the pressure is higher than ever, the Bella's have lost their sparkle and need to get it back! Meanwhile  (Anna Kendrick) Becca secretly gets a internship with a Grammy - winning record producer, hoping that maybe he'll  listen to her music and help make her a producer.
Along their journey to the international finals they go to several sing offs, including one hosted in a mansion where they face their biggest competitors, Das Sound Machine. At the end of the sing off the Bella's are losing and a new member of the group, Emily (Hailee Steinfield) panics and sings her orginal (Flashlight, written by Sia and Sam Smith) which makes them lose the sing off.
The Bella's really need to get back in the game and get in touch with their voices together. So they venture off to camp with the previous Bella leader Aubrey (Anna Camp). Where she makes them do several vocal and regular workouts. Some of the Bella's get into drama but some how at the end of the day they manage to rekindle their friendship and find their unique sound.
At their next competition they face their biggest competitors, Das Sound Machine, again and another real life a capella group known as the Pentatonix. Now that the Bella's have gotten their sound back they are a little more confident. In their new performance they not only bring back many previous Bella's, including Emily's mom Katherine  (Katey Sagal), they also tied in Emily's orginal song, Flashlight.
I thought Pitch Perfect 2 was a great movie. And I think it's going to have a good impact on movie production. There was so many cool and unique things that happened, I've never seen anything like it! I would definitely give this movie give this a 5 star rating!

Beats pill v.s Bose

In this review they compare the Beats Pill to the Bose Soundlink Mini, it's kind of a long but they compare everything from the design to the sound quality of the speaker(s).
When they compared the build and design quality of the two, the Bose Soundlink Mini won. The author states that the Beats Pill has a better and bolder design but if you take a hammer to the two, the Bose Soundlink Mini will make it out and still play your music.
When comparing the connectivity the two devices came to a tie! The Beats Pill offers NFC pairing, which the Bose does not. They both have a 30 foot range and a 3.5mm aux-in jack (for non-Bluetooth devices). But when you start to go out of range the Beats Pill usually drop, whereas the Bose cuts in and out. The Bose has more buttons than the Beats. Which gives the Beats more functionality. The Beats also offers speaker phone capability but isn't good quality.
The Beats wins compared to the Bose battery life. They both claim to last up to 7 hours of charge but the Beats offers a USB and you can connect your phone to it as well, which will drain your phones battery but it's a good feature to have available.
Although the Bose wins with the best sounds quality. It has a nice bass and can get fairly loud without sounding to harsh. Whereas the Beats sounds aren't good quality. There's almost no bass and the mid-ranges are so inconsistent.
Overall the Bose Soundlink Mini wins this battle against the Beats Pill by Dr.Dre.

Fong's Pizza

I love Fong's Pizza! I've only been there only there once, it was absolutely delicious l! Especially the crab rangoon pizza! I have heard nothing but good things about Fong's Pizza. I love the feel of Fong's, it's really cool how there's all this Chinese stuff, then you you look and there's a whole bunch of tiki mugs and stuff. I love how it's so different and unique, there's to many places that are basic.
Thus review is pretty short and doesn't really cover as much as other reviews do, but it's a positive review which is always nice. They talk a lot about the water main break that caused Fong's to close from November to January. But the water break cause a total remodel, new flooring, new paint, and new upholstery on the booths. They talk about what else the menu features besides pizza. The author also states exactly what they ordered and the prices of the pizzas. They tell you what is on the pizza and how her and her husband will be visiting more often.
I honestly think this review could have been written a lot better, but I love how they tell you a lot of information without saying much. It's straight to the point, sweet and simple. I also love how at the bottom of the review the author has the address, phone number, and all of the business hours.

Jack Johnson (Singer/Song writter)

  I really enjoy listening to Jack Johnson, now this isn't my favorite album of his. But I love how laid back his music is and how it's so different. In his music he talks about everything from love to having kids to making banana pancakes, and so much more! With each song there is a different feel to them, some are kind of reggae, french, Jamaican,  or just that little twist of Johnson. It's really cool how his music is so different, it shows how open-minded he is.
   This review is kind of long but positively talks about Johnson's music and life.i love how they specifically point out certain songs and give nonbias criticism. One thing I learned from this review is that besides Johnson's laid back, beachy vibe he also does environmental and charity work. He only produces music in solor-powered studios and gives his music profits to charity! I like how the author recognizes that with Johnson's constant laid vibe in his music you would think that it would be hard to keep listening to his music, "but the easy-rolling pleasures are tough to deny". My overall favorite reference in thus review, is when they refer Johnson and his music to a Pina colada, "Jack Johnson's  sun-kissed acoustic - guitar melodies, stoner dude tenor and unfailingly positive vibrations are like a fresh Pina Colada with a paper umbrella". A different yet perfect reflection of Jack Johnson, different, good, and beachy.

The L.A Complex

The L.A Complex is a newer TV series about young actors, actresses, and comedians struggle through the Hollywood world. This is a fast pace show that shows how hard and how much work there is as a young actor/actress/comedian. I like how the show shows the relationship between all of the characters but also shows each individuals prospectives. This review is kind of long but it gives you good information about the show. I like how this review positively talks about each of the starting characters. the review also talks about how the ups and downs, the lows and highs are a lot more realistic than other TV shows. I also like how this review compares the L.A Complex to help give you a feel about what the show is like.

I really like how the review states " The L.A Complex is serious about its setting a "city that trades on desperate people" time-lapse photography and vibrant montages emphasize the bustle and size of a city that threatens to swallow people and their dreams whole". This to me really says a lot about the show. It's honest and gives you a feel on the scenarios that could come your way in the Hollywood world.

Interstellar movie review

Interstellar is one of my very favorite movies, on rotten tomatoes there is a great review on the movie. In the review they state that Interstellar is one of the biggest and boldest movies of the year!
Interstellar is like advanced trigonometry but will leave those without a complex understanding of astrophysics feeling cold.
I totally agree with this review. Interstellar is an amazing movie, I've never seen anything like it. In this movie they show you what it's like to be an astronaut. They take you through situations any astronaut could face. Like the time lapse. When and astronaut gets in that space shuttle many different things could happen. And in this movie they show the worst thing a father could go through as an astronaut, but he some how takes the unfortunate situations and looks at the positive outcomes his hard work and suffering has made.
Interstellar is a grand undertaking, but in shooting for the stars, it loses its footing. It goes to infinity and beyond, when infinity would have been plenty.

In the negative review, they compare Interstellar to a lame and boring video you would watch in science class. The also state that the boring science video was more of a vacation from science class, which is more than can be said for the fate of the audiences attending the movie. They also refer Interstellar as an effects - driven, high-tech, and intergalactic mumbo-jumbo.
Me personally I loved this movie. I think that some things are questionable about the accuracy of the space scenes in the movie. But even then I'm not a physicist so I wouldn't know. I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I feel like the author of the review has based it off, if the movie was accurate or not. Which I totally see the author's point on that, but I feel you shouldn't you judge the quality of the movie by its accuracy. Maybe I'm completely wrong and the author had a different point, I don't know.
I just think that there was more to the movie Tha  just physics. There was a real story. And it is possible that this may be in our future. But there is a story, and a very powerful one.

60 minutes about Bradley Cooper.

The interview was a good interview. They talked about his past, present, and how he got hear. They also show Bradley Cooper's qoutes that were really good. They were relevant, sufficient, and valid. I also like how they talked about what he has to do as an actor and the struggles he has.
  Although with this great interview I think that it was a little choppy. It would go from his life now to apart of his childhood, to things he's accomplished now to how he got here. I think that with this interview they shouldn't done things in chronological order, instead of going back and forth between things.

Nash's Story

    Everyone has a story, whether its something that makes your name known or if your just like anyone else. Nash Vanbiber, raised here in Des Moines, goes to Roosevelt High School. He loves to Roosevelt's football games. But wishes that the students would go to not only Roosevelt 's main sports , football, basketball, and volleyball  but would also watch Roosevelt's other sports such as bowling, tennis, and swimming.

    Nash loves loves old(er) music and cars! His favorite band is The Beatles, and looks up to John Lennon. He also would like to have a 1970 Camaro. "If I choose to live in anytime, I would I love to live in the 60's! I love the Beatles and I would want to see what Woodstock festival is like!" 

    Vanbiber loves to travel, especially to Washington DC because of the history! He's also pretty adventurous! He loves going to amusement parks, such as Adventure Land. But he would love to go skydiving! 

   In the summer Vanbibber loves to go swimming, hang out with friends, and eat a lot of mac and cheese! He would like to travel to Europe, because of its history. When Nash grows up he would like to get into film or photography, or become a history teacher!

Andy Hou's Spring Break

  Andy Hou had a pretty good spring break. He didn't get to travel, but that didn't stop Andy from having a good time!
Before and during spring break, Andy got to see his sisters that are in college. Each of his sisters visited for a week, so he was pretty happy that he got to see them.

  Even though Andy didn't travel south, he still enjoyed the Iowa weather. He loved that he didn't have to care or think about school, while on break.
  "I like how I didn't have to get up early" Andy stated.

   Over spring break Andy didn't do much, but he got to catch up on a computer game, Xcom. He also got to go out and eat sushi, downtown at Wasabi Tao.
"I went out to eat sushi!" Andy said.

  Since break did have to end, he had to prepare for school. So he spent the weekend doing homework.

So there you have it! Andy's spring break, he had a pretty great time and I hope you did too!

My Expectations for this Semester

I really want to go to Stanford University to become an anesthesioloist. So this semester i would really like to end with all A's. Not that i got bad grades last semester. It's just hard to get your work done sometimes. I honestly feel like a zombie walking around just trying to get through the day without passing out. I really needspring break to come around so i can get some sleep! 

   But I would also like to meet some new people. I havent lived in Iowa for very long and I think that theres some really nice people here.

   I would also like to get better at tennis as well.  Ive only been playing for about 4 months. But maybe I can make varsity next year. 

My life.

   I was born in March 1999, in Springfield, Missouri. I was raised in Missouri, but i moved to Colorado once but only for a short period of time. I have an older sister, Bethany and a younger brother, Taylor. I am older than Taylor by 2 to 3 years. But Bethany is older than me by 7 years and older than Taylor by 10 years.

   I went to Mark Twain Elementary School till I moved to Colorado. When moved back i moved in with my mom, in 4th grade and began going to Fremont Elementary School. Then in 5th grade i moved in with my dad and started going to Sunshine Elementary School. Later that school year I moved and started going to Hickery Hills Elementary /  Middle School. 

  In 6th grade i moved to Neosho, Missouri and attended Neosho Middle school. In January of that school year I moved to Clever, Missouri and went to Clever (Ele)Middle School. I stayed there till the end of my 8th grade year. Over the summer i moved to Iowa, and am now attending Roosevelt High School.

   I've been involved in several activities. In grade school i went to the mad scientist program , where you would do experiments that and silly and fun results. I started playing music instruments in 4th grade. i started out playing the violin. But later in switched to the flute in 6th grade. I stopped playing this year so that I can learn how to play piano. 

   Art is a big part of my life. I am constantly drawing and making pottery. My favorite sport is volleyball, i started playing in 4th grade. But I have only played on a school team once, which was last school year. I am now playing tennis for Roosevelt, which I've only been playing for about 4 months. I am also in the Roosevelts color guard which has been great so far. I've been in color guard for 3 years now its fun to meet new people and help the newbies with flag work.

   So there you have it , my life summed up in about 300 words.
